I have taught kindergarten for twenty five years. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters of Education from Texas State University in San Marcos. I have been married to Robert, for 31 years, and I also have two adult sons – William and Anthony. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. I hope that this will be a time of learning, fun, and growth for your child in all areas of development – academically, socially and emotionally.

I have taught in RRISD since 2002. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001. I am a Teacher Consultant for the National Writing Project and I had the joy to teach during the 2008 Young Writer's Camp for the Central Texas Writing Project, located at Texas State University in San Marcos. My musician husband, Jonas, and I spend our time together shopping, writing, traveling, watching movies, going to live music venues, and swimming at Barton Springs. We have a four-year-old daughter, Zoe Anne. She loves to smile, laugh and sleep. I can't wait to meet my newest group of JVE KinderCubs!

After graduating from UT Austin with my BBA, I decided that I wanted to be a teacher like my grandmother. I attended UTEP for another two years to get my teaching credentials. I have been teaching for 22 years in grades PRE-K through third. This will be my 15th year teaching Kindergarten at Jollyville. I am married and have two sons. Nick is a Freshman at the University of Nebraska and Jacob is in the 7th grade here at Deerpark. When I am not taking my boys to their various after school activities, I enjoy working out at my “Boot-camp “classes (I have to stay in shape to keep up with five and six year olds) and shopping for new books to share with my class.
